Gun Control Debate

Gun control is a very controversial, exciting, and important conflict us Americans face today. After the mass shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, President Barack Obama and the government is trying to restrict some of these laws and other gun related things. The government is trying to restrict high capacity magazines and semi-automatic weapons from the public because of these terrible events that have been occurring lately. According to Yahoo.com, Now some people think that it’s not the guns that need to be controlled, it’s the people who have full access to these guns needs to be controlled. I will explain as to best of my ability to help you decide and learn about gun control in America.

I support the fewer bullets in a magazine, restriction of automatic weapons. Although keeping these weapons away from the mentally unstable, I truly believe that we do not need these guns for many reasons. 1st being, we do not need semi-automatic weapons or fully automatic weapons any reason whatsoever. People think that we do because there is a conspiracy going around that the government is committing these so called “plots” and using them to take away our weapons, and enforce Marshall Law! Marshall Law, for you who don’t know, is basically a tyranny. This is very believable, but I do not think our own government will turn on us. Besides that even, people will defend the NRA (National Rifle Association) by saying we need these guns for hunting so we can provide our families and that we are not going to commit these awful shootings, only the unstable.

These shootings are terrible, crushing events that changes people’s lives forever. They can be stopped by simple means by just restricting access to these automatic military standard weapons of mass murder. Hunting is a part of America for sure. But the hunter only needs a handgun or even just a blot action rifle. Not a machine gun. Think abo
